Additional Information

Georgia Internal Metguard Waterproof Insulated Miner Boot is the ultimate in a safety shoe, meeting four ASTM standards and equipped with a revolutionary ANTImpact™ internal met-guard!

Safety first: it comes with a steel toe. This boot meets ASTM standards for protective toe, puncture resistance, electrical hazard and protective metatarsal, keeping you safe on the job.

This shoe also has an ASTM-approved flexible ANTImpact internal met guard. The material of this met guard firms instantly when struck to offer the same level of protection as rigid met guards. After impact, the revolutionary material returns to its soft, flexible state, providing you with the ultimate protection and comfort.

The rubber "Hammer" outsole resists oils, chemicals, heat and abrasions, but also is cushioning and flexible. A steel shank provides additional support.

Goodyear® welt construction enhances the boot's strength and flexibility.

Built with the Georgia Waterproof System, this logger stands up to rain and mud. Air gets in, but water can't. There's a 100 percent guarantee that your feet stay dry.

Feet stay dry with 400g of Thinsulate Ultra insulation.

This miner boot has a full-grain leather upper and lace-locking top hooks

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
    Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
    Insulated
Traditional insulation - typically felt or polyfill material offers a thermal barrier without the added benefits of premium insulations.
    Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.
    Georgia® Waterproof
Don't sweat it. Air gets in, even though water can't. Water can try to flow past this obstacle, but there's a 100% guarantee it won't. The Georgia Waterproof system comes equipped with a heavily fortified defense against water, because dry feet are happy feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot but not waterproof I bought this boot 1 year ago. I keep good care of all my boots for work. Great support and lasting well. The leather soaks in water like a sponge. These boots are not waterproof by any means. Otherwise I would buy another pair for the protection and comfort of the steel toe..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waterproofing fails quickly I work outdoors in Alaskan winters. Hopping in and out, and up and down, operating heavy equipment. I've worn these boots for about a year. My first complaint is the waterproofing, failed within a few months. The only other issue I've had is the lace eyelets fail too soon, and start to shred laces within 6-8 months. Everything else is very good though, the sole is great, the leather holds up well and the protective guards are still like new, and the met guard is fantastic! They take a few days to break in. I'm half and half on this boot, if they fixed these few issues, this would be a perfect severe weather condition boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waterproof Well i wore these boots to mow my lawn in a light rain I thuoght I would break them in before wearing them to work. Unfortunately my feet got wet in light rain so i will not be wearing them to work now as I need my feet to stay dry . A half hour in light rain wet feet what would 12 hrs working in rain and snow be like I wont try to find out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent work boots Bought these for working on rig sites. Wonderful boot to wear! The metgaurd doesn't interfere with squatting, and the weight is easy on the feet even after a 12 hour shift. I would highly recommend these boots if you are looking for a top quality product that's great to wear!!! Good job Georgia Boots!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible boots for anything over 4 hours Bought these boots, tried them now for a week. Anything over 4 hours is excruciating. The in soles feel as though they are non existent, and there's no way to put them on securely with consistent pressure along the lacing area. I'm honestly hoping for material failure, to get rid of these things.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not water proof I got these boots 3 weeks ago and they started leaking whith in the first 3 days. The gortex mining boots were much better. So if you work in a wet mine I do not recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, waterproof, and sturdy. Bought on clearance a few weeks ago. I'd recommend softer insoles immediately. However far seems to be a great boot. If they made this boot in an 8", it'd be the only pair of boots I'd ever buy again.
